A time of frustration

Wow. My 21 month old is REALLY getting to me. He can't talk. He can't understand everything we say, so overall, we are all getting frustrated with him and he with us. Of course it all comes out when we are out to dinner or in public. He is not satisfied with anything and he can't tell us what's going on. Don't get me wrong, he is talking so well for his age, but not in depth and with good understanding. I know it will pass, as it did with my 3 year old, but WOW it's definitely getting old fast.

I can't believe how he is growing up! He swims around the pool all by himself. It's so cute to watch!

These boys LOVE the beach. They could be there ALL DAY LONG if I let them!
Wow, just when I think God is letting me down, He picks me up and then shows me what He did and He had it all under control.
I checked out a TON of places before we moved to Florida. I made a TON of phone calls and came up with nothing. There was one little outpatient imaging place that I thought would be "a nice little place to work", and I even showed it to Gabe. When we got to Florida, I made those same calls and even drove around handing out my resume. When I called that particular place, the lady said there is a possibility of a job in about 3 months. I didn't really think anything of it, but I mentioned it to Gabe, and we talked about how it is all in God's timing.
Well, 2 and a half months later on Monday, the administrator(D.) of the office called me and said she had my resume and asked me to come in for an interview. I was pumped to say the least. This was the place I had "envisioned" myself. LOL I went to the interview, and phrases like "I think you'll fit in well here" were a part of the conversations. I was then asked to come back to meet the owner(W.) of the facility. If he didn't like me, there was no chance. I met with him on Thursday, and he said he would have D. give me a call. Well, I just knew I had it in the bag.....or did I?! She didn't call on Friday...But if I didn't start monday, then I wouldn't have 2 weeks of training (the girl's last day is April 28th), oh no, I didn't get it....but he said she would call me. Gabe and I came up with excuses like, "maybe she wasn't in the office", or maybe they has some other things to check on....Anyway, I called Friday evening around 5(they don't close until 5:30) and nobody answered. Were they just ignoring my (615) number? OMG, I was so nervous all weekend!! So, Gabe and I decided that if she didn't call Monday morning, I would give her a call Monday afternoon! Well, I couldn't wait, and I needed to tell another place that I got a PRN position, what days I was available, so I called and let her know that I needed to let the other place know something, and she was like, okay, I'll give W.a call and call you right back. Wow, was she serious? Was she gonna call right back?? She did call just 5 minutes later. She asked me when I could start, I told her right now....lol and she said well, we'll see you in the morning.
Isn't it amazing how God REALLY does have everything worked out?! I will admit, I was tired of waiting and starting to lose my faith, but something just kept me going. It's hard to explain how excited and nervous I am feeling right now. I hope I really like it and I hope it works out!

Isaiah 26:4
Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

Now we can move on with our lives. A house will be next, so now we are on to trusting God with finding the RIGHT place to settle down.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.

Wow! This pretty much just sums it all up for me right now. Sometimes I feel like I am annoying God by praying to Him and telling Him my same needs over, and over. And then I get frustrated because nothing is happening. Is there something I am missing? Do I need to do something different? I need peace! I need HIS peace!!!

It's been 34 days....

since we've been in Florida. We are all doing great and having a great time. We are still staying at my sister's house and so far so good. We are all getting along and having fun. I believe the warm weather is here to stay!! It is so gorgeous here! My kids love playing outside, and I love to be outside in the sun with them! We are so blessed to have a fenced in backyard with a beautiful sparkling pool! We are all doing good with exercising 5 days a week and eating well, then we just chill on the weekends going to the beach and trying new restaurants. We are supposed to head out on the ocean to fish in Jake's(my sister's boyfriend) boat this weekend. I can't wait. It will be so fun!

I am still looking for a job everyday. When I say everyday, I have a routine of about 10 websites I check for any job postings. I usually do that 2 times a day. I have hand delivered resumes about 2 weeks after we moved here and just yesterday, I faxed a ton more to the same places and some others. I know I will find a job, a great one, when I am supposed to have one. It is all in God's timing, and all I can do is trust in Him!
Bennett is now 19 months old now. He is getting so big and learning so many new words. He is such a sweetheart, but he has a mean temper! I have chosen a pediatrician to take him to for his 18 month shots. I take him tomorrow, so pray for it to go smoothly and pray I chose the right Doctor.

Florida

Well, we've been here now for 2 weeks now. It was a long trip down for sure. My mom and I stopped halfway and stayed in a hotel with the boys and then headed the rest of the way the next morning. When we got here it was a nice 70 degrees. The boys got to meet dad's bird that visits his backyard everyday to be fed! It's quite a large bird!

You can tell how nice the weather was....the boys wanted to hang out in their underwear!! lol
The weather has been just that way the whole 2 weeks. Never below 65 during the day and not above 78. It's been gorgeous! We have gone to the beach, to a nature center, and a turtle hospital.

We are all having a great time. The boys just love being here with family, and the family enjoys them too, and that means more date nights with my hubby, or just hanging out with a great family! We live in my sister, Erin's house! It's not bad at all, but I am so ready to get a job and find our own house.
Today I went to several imaging facilities and took my resume to them. Most of the places look pretty nice. I really love the hospital here in Port St. Lucie the most so far. The little old lady volunteers are adorable!! lol
It's really hard for me right now. It's all on me to get the job so we can get a house, put the kids in preschool, and get on with our lives. I feel so heavy sometimes. I just can't wait to find the position God has for me.

A look back at 2009 cont.....

July -July 4th was very fun! Grammy, Uncle Benji, and Aunt Natalie came to visit. We did fireworks and sparklers at our house. The boys both loved them!! Bennett was crawling everywhere, and was not even trying to get up to walk! My birthday was on the 12th. I turned 28. We went out to eat with good friends. Good times!!

August -Bennett turned 1 on August 15th, and that was the day he decided to walk. It was very cute and quite funny, but he did! It was a great family month and there was a lot of going to the park and playing outside, especially since Bennett was walking.

September -The boys started school. This was Braeden's second year, and Bennett's first. The first day went very well. There was no crying and both boys had a good day. Gabe had his 28th birthday on the 11th, and our 5th anniversary was on the 25th!

October -This was such a FUN month. I LOVE the fall, so all of the decorations went up! We visited Walden pumpkin farm and had a wonderful time, as always! Halloween was fun with the boys going from door to door trick-or-treating! After just one street, they were both ready to head home! lol

November -Thanksgiving!! Yummy! It was the start of a yummy food journey! We had a Thanksgivin feast for Braeden's class at school. It was adorable. They made Indian outfits and made up their own Indian name. His was "Rockin' Dude"! Sooo, cute!! We put up our Christmas tree the week before Thanksgiving! I LOVE Christmas, so it was no surprise we got started so soon!! We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Natalie, Benji and Gabe's dad came. It was my first Thanksgiving that I wasn't with my family. I don't want to do that again. Fixing the dinner was no big deal at all, I just missed them!!

December -What a FUN month! The boys' had their Christmas program at school. Both of them stayed on stage and Braeden sang and did hand motions! It was really cute! Braeden's 3rd birthday was on the 20th. He wanted so bad to have his party at the "bounce place", so we did. He had 8 friends come. A few from school, his teacher and her kids and a couple other friends. Needless to say, he had a BLAST!! He had his first glass of Sprite. He LOVED it. In fact, he didn't even care about his cake. He just wanted to sip on his sprite out of his big boy cup!! It was cute!
Of course Christmas was very fun! Santa was good to both of the boys! And of course he brought them WAY too many things!! Nina and Pop Paw were here to celebrate with us!!

A look back at 2009

January -It started out fun! (Dr.)Shea came to Nashville with Christ Temple Choir and she was able to get away from Opryland, and come visit me and see our house. The boys really loved seeing her! Braeden loved wearing his cowboy hat and boots that Grandpa gave him for Christmas. He also liked to try to put the hat on Bennett!
Bennett was 5 months and becoming more fun to "play" with. He really love playing in his entertainer.

February -Bennett started on baby food. He really liked it! He also started sitting up on his own, and we had a very warm day the beginning of the month, and our first "snow" of the year at the end of the month. Even though it was only a couple of inches, we built a small snowman!

March -The weather started turning quite nice pretty early, so we had several trips to the park and to the zoo. We also had our first small family of 4 vacation to Chattanooga for a couple of days. We went to the aquarium, the discovery center, and did some shopping. It was a great first trip with 2 sweet boys! Bennett also started crawling!

April -Since Bennett started crawling, he was into everything, and Braeden was having much more "fun" with him! Easter was a fun time! I took Braeden to the zoo for an Easter egg "hunt".(If anyone has been there, you know there is no hunting. Thousands of eggs are just laying ALL over a huge field!) He had a blast! Bennett has stared eating cheerios and gerber puffs. Gabe also had his abdominal surgery!

May -Aunt Natalie graduated nursing school, so we went to West Virginia. We had a blast staying in a hotel room and visiting with family. We also had a chance to hang out with Heath and Hailey. We went on a golf cart ride, went fishing, threw rocks in the creek and went swinging at the park. At home MDO ended and it was warm enough to get the pool out back and go swimming!

June -This was our first major family of 4 vacation! We went to Florida to visit Aunt E. We drove all night(the best idea!), and got there ready to swim and play! Aunt E had a pool, Uncle Jake had a pool and a river to fish in and a boat to go out on the ocean, we went to Disney and met Mickey and Minnie Mouse and of course went to the beach. I caught fish in the river and the ocean! It was too fun!! Both boys enjoyed EVERY minute!! They were very well behaved! I'm very blessed to have such a great family!

Contract is signed!

Well, so far, my crazy life has been a whole reason why I am just posting again since last time! We signed a contract on our house today! This is a really exciting day! However, I am quite nervous about a few things. I am wondering how it is going to be in Florida. I think it will be fun, and quite a change. I am nervous about the whole finding a new job, a new church, living with my sis, finding a MDO for the kids, etc, but I am really excited to be moving so close to so many of my family members: my parents, my sis, my uncles(mom and dad's side), cousins(mom and dad's side), and my papaw. It will definitely be a HUGE change, but I'm pretty sure we will get used to it. I mean, it is FLORIDA!!!!

I am very new to blogging. In fact I have only read a few friends' blogs. Here is a picture of my beautiful family. I hope to be able to update often about my life and my family life.
